A member asked:

New sharp pains first day of periods is it pid ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible: Pid is an infection in the uterus tubes and ovaries. Women often have unusual bleeding, more pain than usual with and between periods, and can have fever. Other possible causes includes a heavier than usual period causing more pain, a growth in ovaries or uterus, for instance. If you think it's pid see your doctor - if it is you need antibiotics.
