What does pimples on your tongue mean?

Irritation/INFECTION: If no pain or slight discomfort, it provably means that you ate something that irritated your tongue. Also it could very well be the clinical aspect of herpes (viral infection) or the initial stage of aphtous ulcer(s) (bacterial) in which cases you will experiment burning sensation and/or pain.

The tongue: Is covered with papillae, which when they get inflamed can resemble pimples. Essentially your taste buds. Hope this helps.
