Can a vsd that has been fixed cause problems and the problem not be found?

Confusing question: When a vsd is fixed, by open repair or through a catheter procedure, the results are easily verified by an echocardiogram. Once there is no longer a hole between the lower chambers, the vsd issue is gone as would be the related complications. Testing like a holter monitor could assess any rhythm issue and an ekg would also assess the heart. If you have a vague problem it is likely unrelated.

Depends: What kind of 'problems'? More description is needed. Any repaired congenital heart is never normal. There can be heart rhythm as well as heart pump function issues afer repair. Blood vessel and heart valve problems can occur. Chest wall pain is common. Breathing problems can occur. Have you had a full heart evaluation by a congenital heart cardiologist?
