See nephrologist: Not sure what the question is. Proteinuria and hypertension should be followed by a nephrologist, kidney specialist. The reason for swelling is related to the kidneys as well, however a cardiac evaluation may be helpful too.

Got it backwards: The proteinuria (protein in urine) is there because something is affecting your kidneys. Are you diabetic or just hypertensive? How much protein and for how long? How about your blood tests for kidney function. Clonidine prn isn't a good idea--your meds need adjusting and you need a kidney evaluation.
