Just wait: You are probably not ovulating regularly, which is the most common cause of irregular periods. Your doctor can send additional blood tests as well to check for a condition called poly cystic ovarian syndrome. An ultrasound should also be done to make sure you don't have a cyst causing the pain or other problem not related to your period.
