Sometimes patients do feel things that are not there, or outright lie about symptoms, however that decision is made after a careful evaluation, as even common things can present unusually at times. If the conclusion was made without reasonable exam, then you should seek a different dr.

Dr. Michael Blumenfield answered

Specializes in Psychiatry

You can always see another doctor and be sure there is nothing physically wrong with you and/or the conditions that you do have are being properly treated. It might also be appropriate to see a mental health professional who has experience in these situations. Often a psychiatrist who is a medical doctor can be helpful.
