Bruising: Is blood beneath the skin. Early icing will minimize the bleeding but after that there is not much to do but wait for the blood to be reabsorbed.

Bruises in a 9 yo?: Bruises generally resolve on their own, unless injury is ongoing. How are you getting bruises? Is someone hitting you? Especially if they're not coming from injury, you need to ask your parents to take you to your doctor for a checkup. Some illnesses can make your body bruise just from slight contact. If you cannot talk to your parents, please tell a teacher or school nurse. Be well.
