Do " minimal cystic changes in the lunate" mean that the lunate bone is showing signs of degeneration ? could this lead to arthritis later in life ?

Lunate cysts: There is a chance there may be arthritis in your future, but usually these are incidental findings. Pain is the main issue to check for.

Lunate: It doesn't mean arthritis or degeneration. Sometimes have some cystic changes in a particular bone which is most of the time normal. If it is present in multiple bones you have to be worked up for the cause of it. I can guarantee you one thing. You are going to have degenerative arthritis later in your life but you might be in the 60s or 70s. This is for everyone not because of the x-ray finding.

Prob arthritis: Probably osteoarthritis or calcium pyrophosphate deposition disease is responsible.
