C. Diff/Constipation: Only obtain stool studies for c. Diff. Infection if you are having diarrhea. There is a small percentage of people carried c. Diff., but will not have symptoms. If you are having abdominal pain, this is likely related to diarrhea. Only in severe c. Difficile infection that cause ileus (toxic megacolon), then you will not have loose stools. With you being at home, non toxic, unlikely to be inf.
