It's the same: Allergen specific immunotherapy is a way of desensitization patients to various environmental allergens. In other words, it tries to induce your tolerance to different aero allergens that you are allergic to, thus improve your allergies symptoms.

Pretty much the same: Traditionally it's "immunotherapy" if injectables are used, and "desensitization" for escalaed oral challenges, but the process is the same.
