I took aleve (naproxen) today an wanted to know if it was safe to take hydroco/apap 5-325 with it?

Yes: Aleve (naproxen) and hydrocodone are compatable. Either medication could cause stomach upset so i suggest taking them with food.

Yes: If you have to take a narcotic for severe pain, then the vicodin (hydrocodone) is appropriate. It is mixed with tylenol, (acetaminophen) which is also called Acetaminophen or apap. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a different category of analgesic than aleve, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (nsaid). You may safely take all three together without untoward effects (narcotic, tylenol, (acetaminophen) nsaid). A few days should be plenty.
