HIV: I will address one of your two questions. Hopefully another doctor will address the second one. A primary HIV infection is likely to occur within 1 to 2 months after infection. This can last several weeks. Symptoms can include loose bowel movements, sore throat, sores in the mouth, swollen neck lymph nodes, fever, headache, muscle & joint aches, rash, genital sores & night sweats.
