Mucoceles: Mucoceles are not at all contagious. They are simply the result of a blocked minor salivary gland. If it bothers you, have it removed. Otherwise, they often spontaneously resolve.

No: Mucoceles are a local condition whereby the glad is not draining properly and you are collecting salivary fluid under the tissue. If it's a larger mucocele, have it removed before it ruptures and scars. This can make it more difficult to remove in the future.
