Maybe: The hair loss with low or high thyroid is usually generalized, that is not just receding but all over. If it is due to the thyroid it may take up to 3 mo. To fully recover after the thyroid is optimally treated. Rogain usually works only for hair loss on the crown. If the receding hair is not due to the thyroid it may be due to high dhea and/or testosterone.

If rogaine (minoxidil) doesn't: Help enough, you might want to consider hair transplantation to restore the hairline area.
