HLA B 27 : Hla stands for human leucocyte antigen.It describes proteins on the surface of cells . It is the major histocomoatibilitybcomplex in humans ( mhc) .Immune system uses this to recognize self and not self.Antigens assigned differs in different people.B is one of the loci.There are multiple genes that encode these antigens and they reside in chromosome 6 and code cell surface antigens.
