Can merthiolate be used to clean water?

Not a good idea: Mercury would not be a good choice to clean water. Depending on the source of water and other circumstances, filtration, chlorination and iodine may be better options. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats.
