It depends ...: A bit on what kind of laparoscopic procedure you had, how many trocar incisions you had, how big they were, etc. That said, the benefit of laparoscopic surgery over open surgery is less pain and faster return to normal activities. By 2 to 4 days postop, most patients are feeling pretty good and maybe need only mild pain meds. If your pain seems too severe, contact your surgeon immediately.
