A member asked:

Is there a difference between jaundice and liver inflammation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Jaundice is yellowish coloration of the eyes and skin, due to excess bilirubin in blood. This can occur without liver inlammation, e.G, bile duct obstruction. Inflammation of the liver usually causes jaundice but can exist without causing jaundice.
