It will grow out...: ...By itself. Don't pick or squeeze it; that will just make it worse. Warm compresses often help. Prevent further ingrown hairs by shaving with an electric razor, or a single-blade hand razor. (multiple-blade razors shave too close to the skin and create the conditions that promote ingrowing of hairs.).

What causes an ingrown hair and how can you get rid of it?

Ingrown Hair: Hair that is cut short and close to the skin creates a sharp tip that can more easily pierce the skin to cause an ingrown hair. Improper shaving techniques are the major cause of ingrown hairs. Other hair-removal methods, including waxing, as well as common friction from tight clothing, may worsen the situation.

No such thing: ...as "for good" in many medical problems. You can always get another one.Removal w/ laser however could decrease the chances of more lesions as good modification of you self care but you haven't stipulated what part of the body, are you shaving, or plucking or what else is being done etc

Ingrown hairs: If you have ingrown hairs try not to wax, shave or pluck hairs until healed. This can often heal without treatment. Your physician can prescribe medication to clear dead skin cells (retinoids). Steroids may be used for significant inflammation & antibiotics may be considered if the area has become infected.
