Eye scans: There are several scans that can be performed for ophthalmologic diagnostic testing. Each of them are different for the most part, and they provide different information to aid the ophthalmologist in his diagnosis and treatment of a patient. An example is an a ultrasound scan that measures an eye's axial length to permit the proper intraocular lens power to be used at the time of cataract surgery.
