YeastyBeasty: Yes. Yeast are part normal skin, oral, gut & vaginal flora. If the conditions are right, a yeast infection may involve any/all of these areas. In the thighs, the most likely causes are warm, moist or occluced skin that is previously colonized with candida or trichosporon organisms. Yeasts can pass on towels, exercize equipment or our own flora overgrow w/changes in normal flora from antbiotics.
