Circumstances: This isa common issue but can vary in cause. So if the entire hand falls asleep, that means that there are two-three major nerves being impinged upon. You are not describing hand goes cold or one would have to think about circulation. So typically if the entire hand is asleep there is problem with nerves... Can be at level of wrist, elbow, shoulder or neck. Check for injury and other issues.
