See a physician: Abnormal bleeding past the age of 40 in women warrants investigation. This may just be hormonal changes but can also be caused by polyps, infections, overgrowth of uterine lining and uterine cancer. This is one of the red flag warning symptoms for cancer in women. This should be evaluated.
