Probably not. : An allergy to an antibiotic you may be taking for the UTI could cause generalized itching, but a UTI itself usually causes burning with urination, urinary frequency, and sometimes abdominal discomfort. If it's genital itching you're talking about, check with your primary doctor for an evaluation. Could be a different type of infection that requires a different type of antibiotic.
