A member asked:

Can water on the knee go away on its own?

Dr. Amir Khan answered

Yes: If your knee has been irritated or injured then after using advil/alleve, resting, icing the 'water' in the knee may self absorb. If there is a persisitent reason for the knee to remain irritated then it will continue to make 'water'. Go see an orthopedist.
