Depends: Sickle cell trait is a genetic condition, not a sexually transmitted disease. You can not spread it to your sexual partner. You can transmit it to your offspring (children) during sex. Individuals with sickle cell trait can have children with no sickle cell trait, children with sickle cell trait, and children with sickle cell disease depending on the sickle cell status of the partner.
