Childbirth.: There is loosening of the vaginal walls after childbirth, especially after having more children. Because of the trauma of passing such a large object through the vagina, the muscles are permanently stretched. This can be corrected slightly with exercises of the pelvic floor. Sometimes surgical tightening can be done, if needed or desired.
