A member asked:

How do protein powders affect the hypoglycemic index?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

They don't: And they are a waste of money. They won't help you in any way and could poison your kidneys. Protein powders are metabolized as calories like anything else you eat. They have no medical indications. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet.
