Many kinds: Many kinds of bites will leave a small dark spot in the center. Usually, this is a small hematoma (bruise) where the stinger or proboscis went into the skin. Less commonly, a dark area could be necrotic (dead) tissue where a toxin has acted, like in the case of a brown recluse bite. If you have concerns, see your gp.
