Why doctor opt for bypass insted of angioplasty?

CABG vs angioplasty: The choice of angioplasty vs bypass depends on the extent and location of the coronary artery lesions. A single proximal lesion in a coronary is likely to be an angioplasty, three vessel multiple disease is more likely to have cabg. There are other factors that go into the choice as the range is large.

No Simple Answer: Hard to answer without seeing coronary angiography for this case, but there are times when the anatomy of the lesion can be better served by bypass instead of angioplasty because of the location of the obstruction, and the possibility of associated risks. These are decisions based on years of experience and patient outcomes.
