Depends on the pain: Hi! the main pain medications you want to avoid are nsaid's like Ibuprofen or Meloxicam because some of these can cause similar and compounding side effects. Tylenol (acetaminophen) would be safe without any interactions if you are looking for over the counter. If you have nerve pain, consider things like Gabapentin or pregabalin. Opioids are safe as well related to taking with prednisone. Hope this helps!
