Long: In this day and age we have so many options for medical and surgical treatment with even more technologies coming. I would bet that life expectancy would be pretty close to someone without rheumatic heart disease.

Depends: Having rheumatic heart disease, per se, is not the issue. What are, if any, adverse effects on the heart is the issue. Rheumatic fever is caused by a strept throat and can damage heart valves and muscle, at times requiring surgery. Abnormal heart rhythms can occur. Medication may be lifelong. Life expectancy can never be predicted. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle has heart-wise benefits.
