What is foetal pole in pregnancy?

Measurement of fetus: When we are looking at a pregnancy on ultrasound early in the first trimester, we can often see the earliest sign of the fetus next to something called the yolk sac. We refer to this early embryo as the "fetal pole". I hope that this answers your question!
