What does it mean when your period comes 2 weeks after it just finished?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breakthrough bleed: About two week after your period starts is about when you ovulate. When you ovulate, it is not uncommon to have a small amount of bleeding related to a brief, abrupt drop in estrogen levels mid-cycle. This is one explanation. Given your age of 45, this is considered abnormal bleeding and should be evaluated by your ob/gyn.
