Not likely: Most strains of MRSA are resistant to all macrolide antibiotics like azithromycin. Mrsa is usually sensitive to vancomycin, Linezolid , septra/bactrim, doxycycline/tetracyclines, clindamycin, daptomycin, synercid, (quinpristin and dalfopristin) ceftaroline, rifampin(only used in combination with another MRSA antibiotic). Mrsa would be resistant to other antibiotics in current use.
