Antibiotic use: Taking antibiotic for a prolonged period of time might inadvertently change your normal gut flora that can cause diarrhea. If you have profuse diarrhea with abdominal pain and fever, you should seek medical help immediately. You could prevent this from happening by taking probiotic or live culture yogurt while taking antibiotics. Increase bowel movement can move undigested food including the pill.

Ask your pharmacist: If your pills were not originally red, your pharmacist should be able to tell you what might make them turn red after passing through you. I'd be more concerned about why the pill comes out whole. Most pills are designed to dissolve in the gut. Ask your pharmacist about it. Your meds may not work if they're designed to dissolve and they're going right through you unchanged.
