Possible, Not Likely: But there are many factors that are associated with abdominal obesity, anxiety and hypertension. I would exclude those first before assuming it was the Celexa (citalopram) unless the timing of the weight gain was with the celexa (citalopram). An example would be poly cystic ovarian syndrome. Discuss this with your primary care doctor or psychiatrist.

Celexa (citalopram): It is possible but in my experience not likely. Exercise daily for 40 minutes in your target zone, eat a plant based diet, in a few weeks add weight resistance to your routine and if this does not help consult an exercise physiologist. My best.
