SSI for depression: Depression is usually a very treatable illness, and people can work even though they have bouts of it. Depending on severity, times away from work -- or even hospitalization -- may be needed occasionally. Your information shows no treatment for depression, so it's not likely SSI would be granted without this. Alcohol use can also worsen depression. Please see your doctor for help.
