A member asked:

Period is normally painful for the first 2 days. this was painful entire time and still cramping 3 days after what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Several things: This could be an ovarian cyst which is common and often occurs in the last half of the cycle before the onset of bleeding and sometimes ruptures causing more discomfort. These may also take a week or so to resolve. This could also be urinary tract infection, endometriosis or unrelated such as gastrointestinal problem. See your doctor if the symptoms persist.
