A member asked:

What does it mean when you have a sharp pain in the top of your head?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neuralgia: If the Sharp pain is shooting or fleeting, it is consistent with neuralgia which is a harmless irritability or slight inflammation of a superficial nerve in the scalp but not within the brain. Neuralgia usually resolves on its own after a few days, but if symptoms persist get examined by your physician or a neurologist.
