Low but...: If you are asking about RDW that is part of a CBC report in United States, a value lower than 80 is usually considered low (different labs may have different norms ). A low RDW may be suggestive of iron deficiency, thalassemia (or other altered red cells), or other blood problems. However, a value of 10.9 is too low unless a different measurement.
