A member asked:

Is stimlulus-response example of how behavior reinforcement works?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Classical v. Operant: Stimulus-response theory relates to pavlovian or classical conditioning (think about the experiments with food, a bell, and salivation). Behavioral reinforcement is a part of what is called operant conditioning (sometimes called "instrumental conditioning). A behavior is strengthened by a reinforcer provided in response to the desired behavior. To learn more, read about "conditioning.".
