Pupil constriction: There is no precise answer to your question because there are a number of variables that might affect the metabolism of a narcotic. The metabolism of a narcotic will affect pupil constriction. As time passes, more of the narcotic will be metabolized and pupil size will go from smaller to larger toward normal (3-5 mm in diameter). The half -life of hydrocodone is 3.8 - 4.9 hrs.

It depends on type: Oxycodone comes in two varieties. Immediate release (ir) and controlled release (cr). Some companies mix oxycodone (usually the ir variety) with Acetaminophen and give it names such as percocet, endocet, tylox (oxycodone and acetaminophen). The ir is taken once per 4 -6 hours and can stay in your system for about a day but may be detected up to 72 hr later cr is taken every 12 hours and can stay in your system 3 -4 days.
