40+yo patient with burning in one anteromedial thigh. notices this when sitting in a car & wearing low-fitting tighter pants. ncs/emg wnl. thoughts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?meralgia?: Would feel more comfortable anatomically if nerve was affecting antero-lateral thigh, but might still consider problem with lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of the thigh. Alternatively, might wonder about deeper nerves traversing inguinal canal. Rarely, see involvement of ilioinguinal or genitofemoral. Did EMG directly examine lat femoral and compare side to side? Rec loose clothing, lyrica (pregabalin)?
