Please see doctor: Rough hair may actually be coarse hair, suggesting low thyroid hormone. Also, dandruff could be dry, scaly skin, another sign of low thyroid. Look for other symptoms as listed in this link: http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/hypothyroidism/ds00353/dsection=symptoms please see a doctor for a full history and physical as well as blood tests as appropriate.
