Possibly: Laxity or looseness of the shoulder could put excessive stress on other areas supporting the shoulder. This stress and overuse could trigger tendonitis. I recommend further evaluation by a musculoskeletal expert such as an orthopedist or physical medicine and rehabilitation physician.
