Dry Socket: Unfortunately, no. A dry socket can develop up to several days after wisdom teeth extractions. Be careful to follow your surgeon's recommendations to avoid smoking, carbonated beverages, forceful spitting, drinking through a straw or anything that might disturb the blood clot in the sockets. A dry socket is nothing more than delayed healing due to loss of the blood clot. Be careful...You'll do ok.
