A member asked:

Can you tell me if a person is in a coma, can they feel, smell, or hear?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Coma: Coma is a state of unconscious unresponsiveness. A person in coma can not feel, smell or hear. If a person is able to experience these sensations they are in a chronic vegetative state.
