Does society consider it bad/taboo if you get cold sores?

It is unpleasant: I believe that some people feel there is stigma if you develop herpes simplex type ii (genital). I don't think there is a taboo about herpes simplex i (oral). However, many people know that they are contagious and so they may not want to have contact with someone who has an active cold sore lesion.
