Possibly an upper : Respiratory infection. For sore throat – gargle with warm salt water (1/2 tsp salt in 8 oz of water). * for congestion – saline nose drops or a neti pot. *for anti-inflammatory effect & mobilizing mucus- homemade chicken noodle soup.**for hydration- lots of water. Try clear broth. * add honey & a small amt. Of lemon juice to chamomile tea. If you have a significantly sore throat w swollen tonsils.

Allergies: If you do not have a cold, this sounds like nasal allergies. Try taking over the counter Claritin or Allegra and see if they help and if not see your doctor.

Allergies: If this has become a chronic condition, these are often symptoms of chronic, low-grade allergies. You might experiment and take some otc zyrtec (cetirizine) for a week or two. If it helps, i suggest possible allergy testing and further evaluation and treatment with either medications or allergy shots.

Allergic rhinitis: It looks like you might have allergic rhinitis. It's a common condition but if not treated it can lead to more serious problems like chronic rhino sinusitis. You would need to see a local allergist to be evaluated.
